A WHALE OF A TIME WITH RIVIERA 3350

There’s never a dull moment with a Riviera 3350 as owner Luis of Angola discovered recently while fishing with friends. The party left Luanda Bay in his boat called “Spicy” and travelled some 30 miles out to sea in the hopes of catching Billfish.
While they experienced the thrill of two hook-ups and the ensuing fight - sadly it was not to be and they lost two Blue Marlin in quick succession. Luis says he is still learning about the art of game fishing and no doubt it will not be long before he masters the sport.
Though it was a disappointing outing from a fishing point of view Mother Nature decided to lend a soothing hand and treated the party to an exciting display of other sea life at play in their natural surroundings.
Not only did they see sharks and a school of Dolphins surfing and frolicking in the waves but a majestic whale also put in an appearance. As this magnificent creature showed off its graceful power with some amazing manoeuvres of its own, ruffled emotions were mollified restoring calm to those aboard the magnificent Sport Fisher.
And what better way to reach the deep than in a Riviera 3350 as this versatile craft is perfect for heading way offshore. Two powerful Cummins 330HP diesel engines and 950-litre fuel capacity ensure hours of safe travel to popular fishing grounds and even further afield to those yet undiscovered!
At least six anglers can comfortably enjoy the thrill of finding those elusive game fish by making good use of the sophisticated equipment on board such as autopilot, radar, fishfinder/GPS units, outriggers, rocket launchers and rod holders on the flybridge. She also has the facility for a live-bait well and much more. The spacious cockpit has enough room for a fighting chair and can accommodate other anglers fishing from this spot at the same time.
After hard days fishing four overnight passengers can enjoy luxurious accommodation in two well-appointed cabins, with scrumptious meals prepared in the full galley. Air conditioning throughout adds to comfort and provides welcome relief from the scorching African sun.
At 10.75m in length with a 3.83m beam the Riviera 3350 also has plenty of space for at least 6-8 guests looking for a day cruise to explore some of the protected bays and other delightful nooks and crannies along our rugged coastline.
